Indecent assault case dropped

A Douglas man facing seven counts of indecent assault has seen the case against him dropped.

39-year-old Adbullah Yavez had been on trial at Douglas Courthouse when the prosecution requested the jury be discharged.

After the prosecution offered no evidence, Deemster Montgomerie dismissed all charges against Yavuz, who had entered not guilty pleas to all counts.

In a statement issued through his legal team, Yavuz expressed his delight out the outcome, having maintained his innocence throughout the investigation and court proceedings.
