Biker killed in crash on Mountain Road

A biker from the UK has died following a crash on the Mountain Road.

The incident happened near Brandywell at around 6.30pm yesterday, involving a Honda Fireblade and a blue Vauxhall Zafira.

The 54-year-old male on the motorbike sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the car were all taken to hospital for treatment but have since been released.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
