The Chief Minister has praised the UK's inclusion of the Isle of Man's position in its Brexit White Paper.
Newly-appointed Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union Dominic Raab presented the document in the House of Commons yesterday.
The paper recognises the Island's desire to preserve its existing constitutional and economic relationship with the UK and to remain in the Common Travel Area.
The UK also acknowledged that the Crown Dependencies will likely need a bespoke arrangement with the European Union that differs to the UK's.
Howard Quayle says he's encouraged to see the Island's position included, and has vowed to continue to engage with the UK as Brexit negotiations continue.
