21 year old Yasmin Ingham from Greeba has received her 3rd call up for Team GB.
The current British under 21 eventing champion has been selected to ride for the team with her championship winning horse, 8 year old ‘Rehy DJ’ (known at home as Piglet) at the prestigious European Young Rider Championships in Fontainebleau, France.
Ingham is one of 6 on the squad who will contest two days of dressage, cross country and finally show jumping to decide the medals.
In addition to being on the GB squad, Ingham has been selected to ride in the team of 4, so will compete for both a team medal as well as individual honours.
Ingham and Piglet had to compete at selected high-profile events up and down the UK to catch the selectors eyes. In the 4 events they have contested, they have not been out of the top 5 and have jumped an impressive double clear (show jumping & cross country) at every event fully deserving their selection to the team.
In 2013 Ingham scored double gold in the European Pony Championships and has also been British National Champion in all three age groups – the only person ever to achieve this.
