DEFA urges public to reduce wildfire risk

Sat, 30 Jun 2018

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's becoming increasingly worried by the risk of wildfire.

Dry and hot conditions over the last week mean there's a heightened risk of fires spreading in the Island's uplands, forests and glens.

AS a result, DEFA is appealing to the public to reduce the risk of incidents in such areas.

Those visiting these areas are asked not to smoke, light camp fires, use camp stoves or have barbecues.
