Police warn open windows attract thieves

The Island's police are urging local residents to keep their homes secure despite the hot weather.

The Isle of Man Constabulary is warning against leaving windows and doors open to cool homes during the warmer conditions.

Homes which are normally secure can become an easy target, allowing burglars and opportunist thieves to freely walk into a home.

Officers advise anyone going out of their home during the day or at night to make sure any open windows are left on a secure catch.
