Planning permission sought for six-storey Duke Street development

A developer is seeking permission to demolish a number of buildings in Douglas Town Centre and construct a new mixed-use building.

Duke Street Commercial Limited has submitted a planning application to knock down existing structures from 42-50 Duke Street, replacing it with a six-storey building to include retail and office space, as well as 11 apartments.

The site is currently occupied by Car Shop, Fentons Butchers, Lunch Box and New Manila.

The design also includes an underground car park and a roof garden.
