Lifeboat crews were called out after a fishing boat suffered an engine failure near Port Grenaugh.
A team was Douglas was called out just before 2.30pm yesterday to help the vessel, which had left Douglas earlier in the day.
The crew of four had been heading south for a day's fishing when a fuel line blockage caused the engine to fail, leaving them stranded around a mile off the coast.
After establishing everyone on board was unharmed, the lifeboat was able to set up a tow and bring the fishing boat to Douglas, where the Coastguard were waiting to provide further assistance.
