The Legislative Council has completed its work on the Abortion Reform Bill.
The bishop's attempts to reduce the number of weeks into a pregnancy a woman would be able to seek a termination failed to gain support.
However, MLCs did approve a number of alterations to ensure the wording of the Bill is legal.
The Council also took the third reading of the Bill at this week's sitting, with only Peter Eagles voting against the Bill's progression.
The legislation will now return to the House of Keys for members there to approve the changes made LegCo.
The Bill aims to give women on the Isle of Man more access to abortion services, including counselling.
