Douglas Coastguards were called out twice to reports of oil pollution in the Island's harbours.
The team was asked to search Douglas Harbour for pollution shortly after 8.30pm on Monday, but were unable to find anything when searching the area.
On their way back to the station, crews were then asked to investigate a similar report in Peel Harbour while officers there were busy with another incident.
Once again, the coastguard officers didn't find anything of note, but were asked to recover two body boards from the beach before returning to the coastguard station shortly after midnight.
