MHK calls for well-regulated medicinal cannabis market

An MHK wants to see a well-regulated market to supply medicinal cannabis on the Isle of Man.

Ramsey member Dr Alex Allinson says criminals have benefited from prohibition of the drug for too long.

He wants to see safety put first, with a regulated market giving access to those who will benefit from the substance.

The UK Government announced earlier this week that it will review the scheduling of cannabis for medicinal use.
