A Tynwald committee has been given backing to widen the remit of their investigation into child abuse.
The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee has been gathering evidence on historic abuse at Knottfield since last year.
However, Tynwald unanimously supported a motion to extend the investigation to cover abuse not connected to the former children's home.
Victims of the abuse and the Chief Constable of the Island's police are among those to have given evidence to the inquiry so far.
