One of the Island's secondary schools is considering a ban on mobile phones.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen revealed in this month's sitting of Tynwald that Castle Rushen High School is assessing whether to restrict the devices for Key Stage 3 students.
Mr Cregeen was asked whether his Department has thought about banning mobiles, but he insists each school is free to set its own policy on mobiles.
Castle Rushen has recently been seeking views from governors, teachers, parents and pupils about a ban on mobiles for pupils in the first three years of high school.
