Two people had to be rescued from a yacht that had run aground near Jurby.
Peel and Ramsey lifeboat crews were called out shortly after midnight yesterday after the vessel got stuck.
At the scene, the teams found the yacht being battered by waves, but both people on board were wearing lifejackets and appeared unharmed.
The Peel crew had to fire a line towards the stricken yacht to connect a tow rope, eventually managing to pull the vessel clear of the surf.
The lifeboat towed the yacht back to Peel marina, arriving at 4.20am.
