Coastguard urges sea swimmers to tell someone where they're going

Peel Coastguard is urging swimmers to let someone know when they plan to return after being called to Fennella Beach.

A team was called out following reports of people swimming too far out off Fennella Beach at around 10pm yesterday.

The Coastguard crews searched the area, but couldn't see anyone and believed the swimmers had already left the area.

The Coastguard says it's particularly important to let someone know where you'll be and when you plan to return when swimming in the sea, particularly at night.
