Over 70% of appeals for a pupil to attend a school outside their catchment area have been approached in the last five academic years.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen revealed in this week's sitting of the House of Keys that his Department has received 57 out of catchment appeals since the 2013-14 school year, 40 of which have been accepted.
28 out of the 44 appeals received by primary schools have been approved, while just one of the 13 appeals to secondary schools has been rejected.
Kewaigue School, Marown Primary School and Michael School are the only schools to have turned down more than one appeal.
