The Island's water authority is urging dog owners not to let their pets swim in reservoirs.
Manx Utilities says it's been made aware that some people have been letting their dogs use the Island's reservoirs for swimming.
However, the authority insists letting dogs swim in the reservoirs poses a risk to the animal, owner and the Island's drinking water supply.
Allowing a dog or other animal to enter the water at a reservoir is illegal in the Water Act and carries a fine of up to £2500.
