Peel lifeboat rescues stricken TT visitors

Peel lifeboat had to tow a vessel into the harbour after it broke down 14 miles from shore.

Two people were travelling from County Down to Peel to visit for the TT when their experienced mechanical problems.

The lifeboat crew launched at around 7.20am yesterday to establish a tow and bring the day boat to safety.

An electrical fault caused the problem which left the vessel stranded, but the RNLI ensured the visitors arrived at 11.35am.
