The Island's police are warning that it's an offence to disturb protected species such as basking sharks.
Basking sharks hasve been spotted in Manx waters in recent days, and have special protection under the Wildlife Act.
Wildlife Crime Officer Mark Kerruish says some people may be tempted to try to get close to these animals when they're nearby, but warns it's illegal to disturb the sharks.
The public is urged to be respectful and watch the animals from a safe distance while taking every care not to disturb them.
