Camper injured by firework

Police are appealing for information after a person was injured by a firework on a campsite.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on Sunday when someone let off two fireworks in Glen Lough Campsite in Union Mills.

One of the fireworks went into a tent, leaving the person inside with slight injuries.

Officers are seeking help identifying the person responsible for letting off the fireworks, as well as reminding the public that they are responsible for their actions even while having fun.

Anyone who can assist with the investigation is urged to contact Peel Police Station.
