Fire crews called to petrol station

Fire crews were called out in the south of the Island following a report of smoke coming from a fuel pump at a filling station.

A team attended the scene shortly before 6pm yesterday, isolating the fuel pumps after finding no visible signs of smoke or fire.

Thermal imaging cameras allowed firefighters to identify the faulty pump before handing the scene over to an engineer.

Fire crews spent around an hour at the scene.
