Fire crews were called out in the south of the Island after a dishwasher caught fire in a property in Port St Mary.
Firefighters from Port Erin and Castletown attended the scene just after 3.30pm yesterday following reports of a house fire.
The teams needed breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire as the house was badly smoke logged and had to be ventilated.
Damage was confined to an integrated dishwasher, and the crews spent around 45 minutes at the scene.
