Dan Kneen's dad thanks public for messages of support

The father of Dan Kneen has thanked everyone who has sent messages of support following the Manx racer's death during last night's TT practice.

The 30-year-old was killed in an incident at Churchtown during his first lap of the evening during the Superbike session.

Richard Kneen says his son lived for his racing and was in his element at TT.

He also offered his full backing to Tyco BMW, who Kneen was racing for in the Superbike and Superstock classes.

Mr Kneen thanked the marshals and medics, and extended his best wishes to all other TT competitors.
