CCTV alerts TT Visitors to Home Burglary

The CCTV alerted the Gilbert family in real time while they were at the TT

A family had their TT holiday cut short when they were alerted to a burglary taking place at their home in England.

Neil Gilbert and his wife were alerted by e-mail that intruders had broken into their property in and then watched the burglars from cameras hidden inside their home.

They were then able to shout directly to tell them via the live cameras that they were being filmed and police were on their way. The intruders fled the building but smashed windows as they left.

The Gilberts, who are regular visitors to the Island, are now having to leave the Island prematurely to assess the damage.
