Police urge motorists not to ignore Mountain Road one-way system

The Island's Roads Policing Unit is appealing for all motorists to observe the one-way system in place on the Mountain Road.

Officers stopped two people from attempting to ride or drive around the signs and cones at the Creg-ny-Baa yesterday afternoon.

The A18 between Ramsey and the Creg is made one way in the direction of the TT course throughout the racing period in a bid to reduce serious collisions.

The police are asking locals and regular visitors to spread the word and make sure first time visitors know about the system.
