In equestrian eventing, the Isle of Man’s Yasmin Ingham has won another title having been crowned this year’s British Young Rider Champion.

The 21 yr old from Greeba has previously been British Pony Champion (age12-16) and British Junior Champion (17-18) in recent years – the only rider to now achieve all three titles.

The victory was sealed on Sunday when Ingham competed at the Houghton International Horse Trials, scoring 32.8 in dressage, clear in Cross Country and then an immaculate clear in Showjumping. Ingham was under severe pressure as any faults would have seen her plummit outside the Top 10.

The performance ranked her 1st overall in the 2 star young rider class.

It now puts Ingham in a strong position to be selected for the British Team to compete in the European Young Rider Championships held in Mid July.
