Emergency services deal with Peel Road crash

The emergency services were called out to deal with a car crash on Peel Road in Douglas.

The single vehicle collision happened at the junction with Pulrose Road shortly before 11pm yesterday, with the car coming to rest on the raised paved section at the pedestrian crossing.

Police diverted traffic around the scene while fire crews made the car safe and removed the passenger side door.

Once the door was removed the occupant was transferred to a waiting ambulance and taken to hospital for further checkups.
