Council announces plans for Murray Lambden blue plaque

A blue plaque will be unveiled next month in memory of a local athlete.

Race walker Murray Lambden, who was also involved in organising and administering sporting events on the Island, died last year

Douglas Borough Council has announced the plaque will be unveiled in the Marine Gardens near the Parish Walk finish line ahead of this year's walk.

The plaque will be unveiled on June 22nd at 6pm by the Mayor of Douglas Jonathan Joughin and Mr Lambden's widow Marie Lambden.
