Lifeboat tows stricken yacht to safety

Four people had to be rescued by one of the Island's lifeboat crews after a yacht became stranded off the coast of the Island.

A rope got wrapped around the propeller of the vessel near Chapel Bay on Saturday afternoon.

Port St Mary lifeboat crew launched to assist the crew, which included two small children who were suffering from sea sickness.

The yacht was towed to Port St Mary, arriving safely around 30 minutes after the lifeboat was called out.
