Abortion Bill scheduled for first reading in LegCo

The Abortion Reform Bill will undergo its first reading in the Legislative Council next week.

The upper branch of the Manx parliament had hoped to begin its work on the proposals earlier this month, but members didn't receive an up to date copy for the Bill in time.

The Bill is aiming to change the Island's abortion laws, increasing the access to abortion services on the Island.

Bill Henderson will be the Member in charge of the Bill in the Legislative Council.
