Further calls to keep dogs on leads around sheep and lambs
Thu, 17 May 2018
A lamb was killed in the south of the Island earlier this week.
Police are repeating calls for dog owners to keep their pets on leads during the lambing season.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says there has been a large number of lambs killed and ewes injured in Baldrine in recent weeks.
Officers are urging dog walkers to ensure animals are kept under control near livestock, as the presence of a dog can cause stress to the animals and result in their death.
It's the second time this week police have appealed for dogs to be kept on leads, with a lamb in the south of the Island killed earlier this month.
