26 women will be recalled for further assessment after previously receiving the all-clear during breast cancer screening at Noble's Hospital.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford revealed over 1200 cases all looked at by one radiologist have been reviewed independently, revealing 26 could need further treatment.
The individual radiologist is no longer employed at Noble's Hospital.
The women affected attended the breast clinic between January 2015 and March last year, and will now undergo an additional assessment to see if further treatment is needed.
Clinics will take place at Noble's over the next few days for those affected, while patients can also contact a helpline on 642400.
The Minister will make a further statement in Tynwald next week.
