The Department of Infrastructure is to provide £25,000 of funding to charity to maintain access to more public footpaths and rights of way.
The agreement between the DoI and Beach Buddies is for a three-year period, and comes following a pilot scheme last year.
The partnership is part of the Department's 10-year plan to improve public rights of way on the Island, including the Raad ny Foillan coastal footpath, Millennium Way and Heritage Trail.
Beach Buddies will work with local authorities and volunteers to organise work in the areas, as well as being able to call upon those under community service and probation orders.
