The toilet block at Sulby Claddagh is currently unusable due to flooding
The start of the camping season at Sulby Claddagh has been delayed due to flooding.
The site is usually open for camping from May 1st, but heavy rainfall over the winter months has resulted in extensive flooding.
The toilet block is currently unusable and needs remedial works to dry out the land around the block and enable inspection of the sewerage system.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, which owns and operates the site, hopes the site will be ready to reopen on May 21st.
