Minister asked to make statement on future of Chester Street site

The future of the Chester Street site will be discussed in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Shoprite recently vacated its store in central Douglas after coming to the end of its lease with the Department of Infrastructure.

The company cited a lack of investment in the facilities as one of the reasons it would no longer be using the store and the multi-storey car park.

Onchan MHK Rob Callister will ask Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer to make a statement about the future of the building when the House sits on Tuesday.
