Braddan Parish Commissioners are to take over responsibility for the day to day management and maintenance of public sector housing in the area.
The local authority will take charge of management and maintenance of 37 Government-owned properties from the Department of Infrastructure.
Braddan will be the second area to do so, after Peel took part in a trial scheme.
The Commissioners will be responsible for maintenance at the Cronk Grianagh estate, with residents there having been made aware of the changes and asked to complete a survey before the transfer takes place.
The DoI hopes involving the Commissioners will help improve services and facilities.
