The Government is seeking feedback on plans to offer grants to those living with long-term health conditions.
The Department of Infrastructure is running a consultation on proposals to offer up to £30,000 or £50,000 in exceptional cases to allow those with long-term issues to adapt their homes and continue living independently.
The means-tested grants or loans would be used to buy equipment or make adaptations, and replace the arrangements currently in place between the DoI and Department of Health and Social Care.
Full details of the House Improvement Adaptions Scheme can be found on the consultations section of the Government's website. Those wishing to comment have until June 6th to submit their responses.
