The Island's police are urging motorists to be patient around vulnerable road users following a series of near-misses.
The Roads Policing Unit revealed it's recently dealt with drivers after a cyclist was nearby hit by a car, runners had to jump in a hedge to avoid a collision and a motorists passed too close to a horse.
Officers say on all three occasions it was only luck that prevented someone being injured.
The police are appealing for motorists to only overtake slower moving traffic if it's safe to do so.
