Over a fifth of those eligible are now using an online system to access GP services and their medical records.
The Department of Health and Social Care's GP Patient Access allows patients to book and amend appoints, order repeat medications and view their immunisation records.
The Government revealed over 20% of those eligible to register have now done so, beating their target of having a fifth of the population using the service by September.
The facility also allows users to share their whole medical record with a clinician or relative for a 24 hour period.
