One of the branches of Shoprite will close this weekend.
Isle of Man Enterprises, which operates the supermarket chain, confirmed the Chester Street store in Douglas will shut down at the close of business on Saturday.
The Subway store within the branch will be relocated, while staff will be offered jobs elsewhere in the company.
Shoprite is at the end of its lease on the site and says it can't sustain trading from the store given the declining demand in Douglas and the planned disruption caused by the promenade reconstruction.
The store is leased from the Department of Infrastructure.
