A charity that works to keep the Island's coast clean is urging TT organisers to rethink their use of plastic wrapping.

Signs have been installed on the Mountain Road ahead of this year's event, which gets underway next month, with plastic wrapping currently covering the signs.

Beach Buddies Isle of Man's Bill Dale is calling for a rethink as some of the wrappings have already started to shred and leave litter on the Mountain Road.

He hopes organisers will find an alternative solution which doesn't add more plastic to the environment ahead of the Festival of Motorcycling later this year.
