One of the Island's lifeboat crews is urging those taking to the sea to ensure their vessels are in full working order after receiving two callouts in 24 hours.
Peel RNLI crew was called out on Saturday night after a boat returning from a day trip to County Down in Northern Ireland ran out of fuel on the return journey to the Island.
The lifeboat was launched at 9.40pm to locate the stranded family and tow them back to Peel Harbour, arriving shortly before midnight.
The team was needed again yesterday evening after a vessel experienced engine failure one mile west of Knocksherry, needing to be towed back to the port.
The lifeboat crew says it's important to be fully prepared and check all equipment is in working order before heading out in a boat.
