Stranded sheep leads to coastguard callout

A coastguard team was called out in the north of the Island after a sheep got stranded on cliffs.

Crews from Ramsey were asked to locate the sheep in the Dogmills area at around midday yesterday.

At the scene, the team found two more sheep in difficulty further up the coast.

A cliff technician set up a harness to look over the cliff edge, but the sheep had gone down to the beach, where the farmer was able to retrieve them using a sheep dog.
