Home Affairs Minister faces police station cost query

The cost of maintaining the old Castletown Police Station will be discussed in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Arbory, Castletown & Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse wants to know how much has been spent maintaining and updating the structure of the building since 2000.

The structure was recently listed on the open market after the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team moved to another facility last year, but a number of parties want the building to remain in public ownership.

Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey will provide a response at Tuesday's sitting.
