MHK seeks IT teacher information

The teaching of IT in the Island's secondary schools will be discussed in Tynwald next week.

Middle MHK Bill Shimmins wants to know how many vacancies their currently are for second school Information Technology teachers on the Isle of Man.

He'll also ask Education Minister Graham Cregeen what his Department is doing to make sure their are enough teachers for the subject, and what the Department's strategy is to ensure outstanding IT training is delivered in high school.

Mr Cregeen will provide a response at the April sitting next week.
