Public transport income has increased by almost £600,000 in the last two years.
During the 2015-16 financial year, £3.53m was spent on bus tickets and tourist Go Explore train and bus tickets - the figure rose to £4.13m during the 2017-18 period.
The majority of the extra revenue has come from spending on buses, with almost £350,000 more spent by passengers as they board the buses over the last year.
An extra £130,000 was spent off bus on saver tickets and school cards.
The figures were revealed in response to a Freedom of Information request.
