Fire crews tackle kitchen fire at Saddle Mews

Fire crews were called out in Douglas to tackle a kitchen fire.

The incident happened at Saddle Mews shortly before 6pm yesterday.

Everyone in the property was accounted for by the time firefighters arrived at the scene, allowing the team to quickly extinguish the flames and ventilate the property.

The fire service is reminding the public to close the door on the fire and get out of the property if they discover fire, before contracting the emergency services from a safe place.

Crews remained at the scene for around 30 minutes.
