One of the Island's coastguard teams was called out following reports two people were lost in the fog.
Fog came in thick and quickly around the coast yesterday lunchtime, resulting in Castletown Coastguard being paged to attend Derbyhaven breakwater at around 2pm.
However, the people were quickly located safely and the team stood down.
The coastguard is urging anyone heading to the coast to be aware of tides and weather conditions, and to contact 999 and ask for the coastguard if you suspect someone is in difficulty.
