MHK wants Tynwald support for fewer green field developments

An MHK wants Tynwald to investigate ways to encourage developers to build on previously developed sites rather than green fields.

Middle member Bill Shimmins will seek support for a motion to set up a Select Committee at this month's sitting of Tynwald.

He wants the committee to find ways to prioritise projects on unoccupied areas that have previously been developed rather than building in the Manx countryside.

If his motion is successful, Mr Shimmins will ask for the committee to report back by July this year.
