Sport Minister praises Commonwealth Games team

The Minister responsible for sport on the Isle of Man says the Commonwealth Games is a fantastic showcase for Manx athletes.

Education, Sport and Culture Minister Graham Cregeen praised the Island's team following the opening ceremony for the Gold Coast Games.

Mr Cregeen praised the time, effort and dedication of the athletes for reaching the games.

He also insists the Government is committed to supporting more Manx residents to be more active, more often.
